Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Geekgirl O — 14 Jun 2018

A GREAT FILM THAT'S NOT MEANT FOR EVERYONE.

This movie is a very good flick for all the supoerhero lovers in your family. Much like the first Incredibles movie, Disney and Pixar do a fabulous job showcasing the dynamic of a family of supers. If I am to be honest the story line was somewhat similar to the first with an interesting twist. Instead of Bob Parr getting a job for some corporation, Helen decides to do a very familiar thing, this time with a guy nasmed Winston Deavor, who owns a telemarketing company and is a very huge fan of all the classic superheros (i.e. Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone).He brings them in for a meeting to talk about the best candidate to make supers legal again they decide on Helen Parr. Then Bob Parr decides to take the helm of a ship that is on very treacherous waters, being a stay at home dad. However, while Helen Parr is reclaiming her fame, Bob learns how to be a better father to his kids and learns how to help them out in their different areas of challenge. (Dash with homework, Violet with relationship problems with both her date with Tony Rydinger and her father, and Jack-Jack with him being not so normal.). They eventually meet back up later in the film after they realize that Winston Deavor's sister, Evelyn, wasn't as much on board with the whole Making-Heroes-Legal idea as the moive led you to believe. She ends up being the mastermind behind the persona of Screenslaver. Now this is where my rating drops a little bit. Screenslaver uses hypnosis to take advantage of his opponents and he does this by using either screens or goggles. The screens project black and white circular images that flash relatively fast and could cause someone with epilepsy either some headache or even seizures. in other words IF YOU ARE TAKING SOMEONE WHO HAS EPILEPSY TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE IN MY OPINION IT WILL BE ILL-ADVISED. Anyways the family reunites once agaain to fend off the evils of Screenslaver and save the city once again. Like I said this is a spectacular film and I would definitely rate five stars. However, since this is a review to inform people about the movie, I would have to rate it a four almost four point five.
