Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Lasagnacritic — 15 Jun 2018
This movie is very good, and is up to par with the original, if not even better. With delightful visuals, and a good story, this movie will keep adults and children entertained for the entirety. The subtle-not so subtle anti-screen propaganda is annoying, but is fairly easy to get around.
The super mom message was good, and I enjoyed it a good bit. I went in expecting extreme 'super female lead character' motives as the movie industry has been playing on for a while, but it's surprisingly toned down, and is enjoyable versus in your face.
The side characters were fairly good, but could've used a little more work. The Jack-Jack subplot was fairly good, and Edna played a very good overbearing aunt. Was it worth the 14 year wait? Sure. It was a good movie, and I'd go see it again any time.
Good movie, and with a few tweaks it could be a very well made movie. I'd see a third and have it be a trilogy.
