Review of Incredibles 2 (2018) by Flexedacorn — 16 Jun 2018
I was one of the few people who did not watch the original Incredibles film when it first came out. In anticipation for the sequel, I rented the first film prior to going to the theater. My opinion after seeing the films back to back was that, I personally found the sequel to be a more enjoyable movie.
Both films were great films, but the 2nd one just resonated with me more. The animations had improved greatly during the 14 year hiatus, with Elasta girl having some of the coolest animations I’ve ever seen in a Pixar film.
The story felt fresh even in a time with a market saturated by super hero films. Yes, it is a superhero centered film, but ultimately its story about a family comes across as relatable to the audience.
Incredibles 2 also added more humor this time around. A few scenes with the Dad babysitting had the theater and myself laughing out loud. I can’t say if the film was worth the wait (as I personally didn’t wait), but I can say it was a very good film.
I highly recommend it to fans of the original or Pixar fans in general.
