Review of Incendies (2010) by Gordon C — 22 Nov 2011
Disturbing and powerful. I wonder the playwright's motivation for such a story. To cast a light on the Lebanese civil war? To show humanity in the dark parts of war and terrorism. Really, a tough movie to watch.
They broke a couple of filmmaking no-no's. But as it was nominated for Best Foreign Picture, they did a lot of things right. Just radically.
