Review of Incendies (2010) by Jon L — 12 Feb 2012
Heavy and extraordinary. One of the best, most profound scripts ever for its multi-dimensional, profoundly human and gripping story. The performances and film-making are also first-rate, but what makes this well-worth renting on DVD is the global, war and peace, life and death experiences that are both timeless and relevant.
I give this movie my highest rating because of the personal depth with which it communicates a life-affirming message amidst the most tragic of circumstances -- all without an iota of polemic. Bravo!
