Review of Incendies (2010) by Juli R — 12 Apr 2014
This is a neo-noir thriller that seems contemporary because most of it takes place in a Middle East country, like Lebanon. It's about a pair of twins who set out to find their absent father and also a brother after the death of their mother.
It's all a bit melodramatic, but masterfully woven together, and you won't find out the disturbing conclusion from me. Nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar.
