Review of Incendiary (2008) by Mike M — 25 Oct 2008
It's infuriating that Chris Morris can't find industry support for his proposed satire on fundamentalist eejits when softsoap nonsense like this is being bundled into cinemas. To further compound matters, the performances are across-the-board disastrous.
Williams, presumably here to shore up American distribution, at least has the excuse of being miscast from the off, but McGregor, who's been coasting by on a smile for the best part of a decade, barely registers after some early gurning in a boozer, and McFadyen hits all the Bs - bearded, bespectacled, blinky and bloody boring - as the Met chief who couches terrorism in terms of a ruined caravan holiday.
