Review of Incendiary (2008) by Ray P — 14 Jun 2011
Small and deeply moving British film that imagines a terrorist act called May Day where several suicide bombers strike at a stadium during a soccer match and cause the death of over 1,000 people. Michelle Williams (doing a nice British accent) loses her young son and husband in this tragedy.
To make matters worse, she is dealing with the guilt over a brief affair with neighbor Ewan MacGregor that caused her to miss the same game where the attack took place. As she deals with her own grief and tries to bond with the son of one of the alleged bombers, MacGregor seeks to expose the truth behind the attacks at his newspaper --- with potential tragic results for all the lives involved.
