Review of Incendiary (2008) by Chris V — 15 Jul 2009
Very sad film about the road to redemption. Michelle Williams and Ewan McGregor play a pair of lovers in this drama taking place in London. Williams is married with a lovely boy but her husband does not seem to love her anymore.
He is so distant from her yet she loves him very much and adores her son. One night she meets Ewan McGregor in a bar (he plays a newspaper reporter). Later on a terrorist bombing takes place, and she suffers a devastating loss in that attack leaving her to pick up the pieces and continue on with her life while her lover is trying to find out who caused the bombing.
While doing so he discovers that the authorities will do anything to cover up the truth behind it. Acting was good but what I truly liked about this film was the letter that Williams was told to write to Osama Bin Laden.
As you watch the movie you will hear the piercing words that hit home. Great letter which depicts the resilience of the human spirit and the will to go on despite the losses!
