Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Linda L — 11 Feb 2009
Not exactly what I expected - I thought this might be more of an anti-Iraq-War film rather than what I felt it to be which was less Iraq-specific and more a kind of political thriller with anti-war undertones.
Wanted more of the psychology behind the actions of those involved in Tommy Lee Jones' son's murder than we saw too...for I had the feeling that the film wants us to consider their motives, and yet (hopefully not spoiler-ing here) I feel quite unable to even begin to discuss such things.
