Review of In the Valley of Elah (2007) by Pauline L — 24 Feb 2011
Sentimental and a bit preachy but very powerful account of the effects of the Iraq war on those back home from the conflict. The performances, Lee Jones in particular, are excellent, and the narrative, is slow and meandering at times but delivers a clear, anti-war message.
Highly recommended.
