First film of 2012 and I liked this a lot. Loosely based on a true story this is much better Haggis film then the overrated â~Crashâ(TM). A decent investigation narrative underpins a thoughtful, intelligent and emotional movie.
The film looks good with the barren bleakness of New Mexico also serving the film well. And Iraq is left to just mobile phone coverage. Sarandon and Theron are perhaps a little under-used, but all is forgiven with the final shot basically saying a big f**k off to the good old USA.
