Review of In the Tall Grass (2019) by Bradens584 — 19 Dec 2020
Based on the Stephen King/Joe Hill novella of the same name, In the Tall Grass definitely has the King tone. It isn’t the best adaptation of a King story, nowhere near it, but it has moments of creepiness and genuine scares.
The concept is genius, it has so many good and disturbing ideas that it elevates the entire film. The main flaw of the film is that it feels somewhat stretched, like a lot of King short story adaptations.
The acting, other than that of Patrick Wilson is also subpar. But, I would still recommend it for any Stephen King fans, or anyone who’s looking for a good scare while being able to overlook some pacing issues.
