Review of In the Realm of the Senses (1976) by Rod A — 26 Feb 2010
Definitely an NC-17 film by today's MPAA standards, but arguably not pornographic. Somewhat interesting but *not* titilating (depending on your sexual orientation/gender -- your mileage may vary) story involving a love affair that gets more destructive as it progresses.
Based on a true incident in 1936 Japan, the film is also a somewhat scathing commentary of that period.
