The closest thing to a real movie that Uwe Boll has ever done.

I don't know how he keeps getting money to make these abysmal little films or even more puzzling, how he manages to work with the types of cast he gets but generally speaking...the man is a total wreck as a director.

In The Name Of The King suffers from great actors in bad roles... Burt Reynolds is awful as the king...(largley because there's nothing remotely "regal" about Burt Reynolds and never has been). Ray Liotta is cringe-inducingly horrible in the role of villain. His lines are poorly and unconvincingly delivered... Liotta makes no effort to "act"... he's just Ray Liotta in a leather jacket.

Statham, Forlani, Sobieski, Rhys-Davies and Ron Perlman - (Yes... RON PERLMAN!!!!!!) are the only reasons to watch this film.

The less said about Lillard, the better.

I don't know how Uwe Boll gets these people to agree to star in his awful movies. I picture a giant filing cabinet in his office filled with photos and other forms of incriminating evidence against every actor in Hollywood, and I offer that suggestion up as a possible answer.

Here's what I do know... The more movies Boll makes, the (slightly) better he gets at it... It's only logical right?

Maybe next time Uwe...
