Review of In the Name of the Father (1993) by Sushma S — 18 Feb 2008
Daniel Day-Lewis, and Pete Postlethwaite rule this film. The portrayals of confusion, lost causes, endurance, innocence are magnificient. There are times in the movie when your fists clench and your jaws.
Only good acting can make you feel the story in your bones. This film evokes a very strong response to injustice being swept under the carpet, and the hollowness of the judiciary system. Fabulous movie.
Collectors stuff.
