Review of In the Name of the Father (1993) by Steve S — 12 Oct 2009
A tense drama with a masterclass acting qualities.. this is one of the rare drama movie which kept me to my seat, made me wanting for more, and I don't want the movie to end, even I knew what's coming.. the score and sound editing are excellent also, it really brought the movie to life, and made me chill.. film editing are near perfection, no useless scene and speech, this movie is simply a Masterpiece!!
No bad or even mediocre actors are seen within this movie, everyone played their part too good.. two thumbs up for Emma Thompson, mostly for the final scene in the court.. and the big big applause goes to mr.Day Lewis.. his character are so provoking and I got carried away by it.. I think no one can play it better than himself.. he's definitely the best actor alive, unquestionable.. can't wait for his next movie, Nine, coming in 2009..
