Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Kieran D — 18 Jan 2009
What I saw was what I least expected, and that was a new way of seeing relationships, and more thoughtful, patient and as if watching from a distance but being drawn in a completely different way.
This film humbles the viewer and asks for their thoughts to slow down so that their empathy and deeper nature can witness what is between the two main characters.
The soundtrack is exceptionally well placed and the so are the characters who with all their restraint still allow their emotions to saturate the screen regardless.
This love story is like no other.
