Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Bill B — 03 Jun 2017
Wong Kar Wai continues to kill me with his gorgeously shot romance films, this one set in an apartment building in early '60s Shanghai. A tale of largely unrequited love and longing, it's almost too pretty to look at in certain scenes, as a couple of neighbors start to fall for one another as they try to deal with the fact that their spouses are having an affair together.
Gorgeous work, and well worth a look. Highly recommended.
