Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Nancy C — 19 Jan 2009
I'm an unabashed fangirl when it comes to director Wong Kar Wai, but so much of the credit for this film belongs to cinematographer Christopher Doyle. Every shot is flawlessly composed (and that's an understatement), and a great deal of the story is told by the visuals.
Worth watching for the plot, the acting, the direction, and every other aspect of the film, but the cinematography steals the show.
