Wow, how have I not seen this film before tonight? Foolish me spending too much time renting mostly French films. Also, seeing as I watched this within 24 hours of "Hiroshima, Mon Amour", I'm sort of in a cinematic visual overload.
Introductions aside, this film is fucking amazing. Visually, it's absolutely stunning, and easily one of the best films I've ever seen. The use of colour is probably what struck me the most. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking; I want to watch it another ten times.
