Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Cesar A — 19 Feb 2010
Wong Kar Wai creates an achingly beautiful and sublime romance set in 1960's Hong Kong. Exquisite acting by attractive leads Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung highlight this human drama about love. Phenomenal cinematography and a soundtrack that appropriately highlights the influx of diverse cultures intersecting Hong Kong at the time complete what is probably WKW's best work to date.
