Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by August M — 18 May 2015
"Feeling can creep up just like that. I thought I was in control" Sensual, rapturous, and impeccably made, I felt In The Mood For Love was a classic from the first frame. I was truly baffled by just how great this movie was.
It harkened back to classic, old cinema but still felt incredibly modern and fresh. The luminous cinematography is perfectly rendered and I found myself at a loss for words during some shots. I don't very often come across films I would consider to be perfect, in execution, story, look, acting, etc.
, but In The Mood For Love is one I would gladly and wholeheartedly say is a perfect film.
