Review of In the Mood for Love (2000) by Rinaldo H — 02 Aug 2015
In the Mood for Love is a theatre of decay and vibrant patterns, mirrors and reflections, also layers and cages. While still playing on typical Wong Kar Wai's signature of lonely people in urban apartment cages, its parade of visual symbolism delivers much more potent melancholic narrative and more mature style compared to its predecessors.
Definitely one of Wong Kar Wai's bests.
