Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Jeff B — 12 Jan 2011
What if "To Kill a Mockingbird" was a buddy cop film with even more racial overtones? It would be this movie, which, while still good, was very overrated. I think it's one of those things which would be more impactful to me if I was black or even if I was just around in the 50's and 60's.
Good acting performances, but nothing amazing. Just solid all-around.
