Review of In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Paul B — 09 May 2011
Steiger is completely mesmerising throughout this film. Sidney is also on form. I was hooked from the moment Sidney stepped onto the platform only to be greeted by a racial nightmare and a murder mystery to boot.
The chemistry between Steiger and Poitier is intense and the film holds its head up high 40 years on.
