Review of In the Heart of the Sea (2015) by Don N — 16 Dec 2015
Look, it does not have any Transformers in it, nor any alien space whiz bang boom machines. What it does have is a story of a real, harrowing, terrifying sea tale based on actual occurrences. It is beautifully done, wonderful to look at, and for you city critters who don't get out much and are not taught history anymore, it should be seen just to learn about what life used to be like, and how vital whale oil was before oil was discovered under the ground.
Sound boring? Not at all. It could be subtitled When Whales Attack. It is well worth watching and because it is fact based, it is a great lesson on the human will to survive.
No safe zones for snowflakes in this movie. This movie is all about real men and real women back in the day. Tough.
