Review of In the Cut (2003) by Eileen B — 24 Jul 2008
Good for Meg Ryan for breaking out of typecasting. This was quite provocative sexually and re: violence--but I was really drawn to Ryan's character, her love of words (me,too), the English teacher aspect of her character.
This is one time when the sex scenes seemed necessary to move the plot, rather than gratuitous. Lovin the Ruffalo, as well. Loved aspects of their relationship.
