Todd Fields is an amazing director and storyteller, and he doesn't care how long it takes him to tell us the story he needs to tell. Brilliant acting in this film, about a middle aged couple out to seek revenge for the murder of their son, and the aftermath of that revenge.
Some might say it is too slow-paced, but I love the way this story unfolds and the brilliant way it all plays out, almost as if it's in real time. One of the best dramatic movies I have ever seen.
