Review of Free Fire (2017) by Martin M — 01 Apr 2017
Free Fire is utterly bonkers and I liked it! It's basically a 90 minute gun fight, with laughs. The action is cartoonish with people getting shot numerous times but managing to carry on and they're more interested in delivering a quip than a killer shot.
It's pretty short on plot, but more than makes up for it with the witty dialogue and physical humour. Sharlto Copley steals the show having pretty much all the best lines and he is hilarious throughout.
It will make you laugh and wince in equal measure as each character meets their end in different painful ways. By no means a classic and don't go expecting a clever plot, it is what is. 4 out of 5 stars.
