Review of In Search of a Midnight Kiss (2007) by Stephen J — 17 Jun 2008
It's hard to dislike a film that starts with a guy getting caught jerking off by his flatmates and ends with the worst singalong of Winds of Change you've ever heard, yet somewhere in the middle still wants to be taken as seriously as an Ingmar Bergman film.
It's got a no-budget charm similar to Clerks, but the tone (and concept) is closer to Before Sunrise, than the Swingers/Manhattan comparisons it's been getting (as in don't go expecting a laugh a minute).
Loving the B&W.
