Esther injures her leg while walking around a property at night while at a party but does not feel the pain which leads to her having a fascination with self harm. The downward spiral that follows as she alienates herself from her lover, friends and successful career opportunities so she can cut and maim herself.
It is very intense and very in your face. An interesting movie to be sure and one that makes you wonder.
