For some reason I liked it. It's probably the fact that so much of the film is unconventional for the genre piece it appears to be.
Unfortunately, the film does fall prey to the stereotypes and trappings of the genre, and here it falls down. These moments are, without exception, all very weak and detract from the rest of the film.
Both actresses, Toni Collette in particular are very good.
Also, Cameron Diaz is very, very hot. Phew, saved my masculinity there.
