Review of In Her Shoes (2005) by Brooks R — 18 Aug 2009
This is a horrible adaptation of a book by Jennifer Weiner. I am not typically one of those people that is anal about movie adaptations being exactly like the book however this is atrocious. Generally speaking it is an extremely mediocre film.
It glosses over the true meaning that book with held. I laughed more reading the book than watching this film. Roses friend I thought was supposed to be a black woman. Simon was much more charming in the book and not a pushy nerd.
Cameran Diaz is a perfect Maggie, however the script completely twists her journey into something boring and cliche. READ THE BOOK!!
