Review of In Harm's Way (1965) by Grant S — 16 Apr 2010
Good WW2 naval drama. Much more than your average war movie in that it develops the main characters, and looks at their personal lives too.
Decent plot, though a bit contrived at times. Good direction - despite being a war movie not everything is in-your-face and developments aren't spoon-fed to you. Good action sequences, for the time.
John Wayne shows that he is capable of playing more than one-dimensional characters. Good supporting cast.
