Review of In Cold Blood (1967) by José E — 24 Nov 2007
Most people are praising the story, but the story is not the movie's merit, it's Capote's. Although the photography is great and the acting is pretty good, I feel the movie did not come out pretty well.
The basic problem is the adaptation. It comes out as a choppy movie with less than 25% the strength of the book. It should have focused on a much smaller part of the story in order to develop more the characters.
It was a disappointment to me.
