Review of In Bed (2005) by Tonypolito — 17 Nov 2010
Took a lot of undeserved kudos. Worse yet, baits the viewer with undelivered sexual content.
The camera is a fly on the wall when a couple checks into a fleabag motel for a one-night stand after leaving a party. The viewer doesn't ever really get to gander any consummation. Rather, he/she is forced to hear and watch all sorts of random emotional dribble and revelation between the two - that would never actually occur in such a situation - for over 90 minutes.
All the awards are for, well, all the wishful thinking that such dribble ought actually occur. Which it shouldn't.
SPOILER: The big emotional revelation at the end, she's getting married and he's her last fling and now she feels sort of guilty about it. Give me a break. I know a guy that saw the bride in the closet at the reception down on the chef guilt-free. And when this woman checked into the No-Tell Motel, she wasn't feeling the least bit guilty either. And that didn't change for her just because she had a pillow-fight and a smoke and a chat-up with Mr. Right Now either.
RECOMMENDATION: Skip it.
