Review of In America (2003) by Jim E — 27 Dec 2009
The characters in this movie are so perfectly human, so lovable, so compelling that you might watch over a few times just to get to spend time with them some more. As they struggle each day to survive and make friends, they make themselves vulnerable and fragile, and you can't help but root for them and want to take them into your home and give them a break.
It's a quiet film, not much action and no special effects, just good, decent people struggling. I would recommend this if you like The Station Agent, The Visitor, and Angela's Ashes.
