Review of In a World... (2013) by Vera W — 25 Aug 2013
This fun indie comedy has plenty of zip, and lots of heart. But what it really has going for it is a best supporting actress in Michaela Watkins who surprises at every turn, and who abandons the snarky, invulnerable delivery of fast paced sketch comedy and comes to the rescue with a knock-out supporting role.
The most moving scene comes when the lead Lake Bell finally shows us her voiceover chops, and she's a miracle. You end up pulling so hard for her you strain your maniscus. Wow, people.
