I want more!
That's basically the culmination of everything I have to say about this. The film works so well as a whole, it leaves you hungry for more witty comedy, more gloriously awkward romance, more quirky business dealings and MORE LAKE BELL! I don't just mean that as an "after the film" type thing either. "In a World..." has these great moments in it, but they all seem far away from each other. It's as if the stuff we love never feels fully connected with each other and plays out like a series of totally charming vignettes that add up to one story. However, this is only a minor nitpick in an otherwise fantastic debut from Writer, Director and Star Lake Bell. I can see myself watching this again, probably even liking it more. I'm seriously looking forward to Bell's next film which, if this film is any indication, will probably be fantastic.
