Review of In a Valley of Violence (2016) by Andrew M — 23 Oct 2016
**Attended the 10/21 opening screening at Chicago's Music Box, followed by Q&A with West and James Ransone.**.
Nobody ever said we need another Western, even a witty one at that. Ti and Team, by way of a (trademarked) compelling and asynchronous score and an ace performance by Travolta, goose a tired template into a pic not entirely lost in the dust like many of its contemporaries. It has its fun, but never achieves the anti-self-seriousness to render it better than his keeper in "The House of the Devil".
