Review of In a Lonely Place (1950) by Joel K — 26 Sep 2009
This is a strange one. Something about this is not quite right. It distinguishes itself from the usual stuff, which is good. But I also think it could be less idiosyncratic. I really don't know what to think of it, except that it's unique enough, and interesting enough, to be worthwhile.
It's not suspenseful for a moment, on the other hand. I guess one of the best parts about it is the utterly bleak view of Hollywood.
