For the most part, Hollywood has become incapable of painting pictures this vivid. In the Bedroom is a surreal experience, exhibiting characters and situations that seem so horrific and yet so real. The twists and turns are fast and merciless, but nothing ever seems rushed or tacked on.
Sissy Spacek is a force to be reckoned with.
