Baffled by the rave reviews it got, I've gone to check this film out. The plot shifts from being lively and full of hopes to a dismal case of revenge and repentance. And to be honest, I didn't like how the story shifted. The first hour makes you appreciate Todd Field's refined manner of direction, but the second hour does nothing beyond the extent of making you snore.
The performances were outright. But seriously, you don't need to brag about this film just to make yourself appear smart.
