Review of Impromptu (1991) by Siobhan M — 05 Nov 2007
Great ensemble cast, great direction, great script, beautiful scenery and costumes, and it's funny as hell. I could watch this movie over and over again. Judy Davis is her usual overly dramatic self, and in this movie it works so, so well.
Emma Thompson has never been funnier. A must-see for fans of 19th century music and art.
