Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Danny H — 31 Dec 2008
I've been watching this movie for decades and it is still fresh to me whenever I see it. The issues of race, societal norms, moms & daughters, and identity struggles seem to be timelessly relevant.
The clothes are chic and gorgeous, too, total eye candy for me. This is a very strong movie in terms of the issues it addresses and the lushness and beauty within it.
