Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Adam B — 17 May 2015
Because the film is pretty much carried by all females, it's a must-see.
1. Do not get enough sleep the night before.
2. Get a box of tissues.
3. Be distraction-free. Turn off the cell phone, do not answer it. Send kids & spouse away for the time you watch, consider watching this with someone dear to you.
4. Use an electronic device to get on the web and occasionally pause the film between scenes to get caught up on character names, talk w/the other person w/whom your watching the film, etc. Do this the first half of the film.
5. Be fully engaged during the last half of the film.
6. Cue crying annnd...action.
Wonderful!
