Review of Imitation of Life (1959) by Monique L — 14 Dec 2009
Saw this movie when I was a kid and it had a pretty big impact on me. Juanita Moore's performance is probably the best performance I've seen by a female actress. This movie pulls at the heartstrings and is truly the ONLY movie that I can't make it through without breaking down and crying.
For that reason alone, I do not watch the movie unless I'm with someone who hasn't seen it already.
