Review of Imagining Argentina (2003) by Brian W — 08 Oct 2007
Use extreme caution in deciding to view this movie. I am a person who will spontaneously leap up and leave the room if a movie scene with violence begins. I avoid sad and violent movies, unless, unless..... there is a story that I want to watch. I cry at Coke commercials. I didn't cry during this movie. My heart beat so hard I was afraid I'd have a heart attack. Very intense, heartrending. Wonderfully told tale and marvelously acted. Metaphor. The importance of the life of the imagination to life itself, and a non-woo-woo or new age-y reflection on our psychic and intuitive powers to save others and to save ourselves.
See it with a friend.
