Review of I'm Still Here (2010) by Sol H — 08 Oct 2010
So there are two ways of looking at this movie. In one way, you believe it is a true documentary about Jaoquin Phoenix's implosion and destruction of his career. In the other mode (which I think is actually true) this is one big prank.
The first would be a boring and sad movie. The second is downright cruel to various people in the movie who might not be in on the joke. The movie has some absolutely disgusting and crude scenes that seem like they are purely done for sensationalism.
But, in the end, I don't think it really matters which perception you have. Either way, it is a really awful movie that doesn't amount to much.
